What is AfterPay?
AfterPay is almost like a modern and more hip version of layby where you get your product now and pay for it later! There’s also no interest or fees*, and you simply pay for it over four equal fortnightly repayments.
Can anyone use AfterPay?
In order to be eligible to use AfterPay you must live in Australia, be over the age of 18 and have an Australian credit or debit card.
How do I use AfterPay?
To make your purchase using AfterPay, simply add your products to your shopping bag as usual. When you get to the checkout, select AfterPay as your payment method. If you already have an AfterPay account, simply enter your details to login and then complete your purchase. If you are new to AfterPay, that’s ok! Follow the prompts to complete your account setup with AfterPay, then complete your purchase. AfterPay will email you through your payment schedule. You can also get the AfterPay app on your smart phone to help you keep track of your purchases and payments.
What if I return an item?
This depends on where you are in your payment schedule, and whether it is a full or partial refund. For the full details, we recommend taking a look at the “Refunds” section of the terms and conditions on AfterPay’s website. Please contact us if you wish to return an item you have purchased through us using AfterPay.
Important things to keep in mind with AfterPay
If you are a new AfterPay customer, your first instalment will be debited at the time of your purchase, and the next three payments will then be debited over the subsequent six week period. However, if you have held an AfterPay account for more than six weeks, your first payment will not be debited until 14 days later, and your payments will be spaced over eight weeks.
Your payment schedule will be emailed to you, and you can also receive reminder text messages for payments from AfterPay. You can also download the AfterPay App to keep track of your purchases and payments. You will need to ensure your nominated bank account or card has enough funds available at the time your payment will be debited.
*If your payment fails, AfterPay will charge you a late payment fee of $10, and a subsequent fee of $7 is then applied if they still have not received your payment seven days later.
