In celebration of Australia's rich and important history and Alpha Women everywhere, Alpha-H has collaborated with KONSTANTINA, whose artworks are featured on this packaging.
KONSTANTINA is an award-winning contemporary Gadigal painter, activist, mother and storyteller, passionate about elevating Aboriginal art and culture to its rightful place of prominence in Australia. A proud Koori woman, KONSTANTINA’S work re-imagines the traditions of her peoples’ dot paintings and provides a modern narrative to help Australians to better understand First Nations People as an immensely important part of Australian Culture.
The paintings featured on our Holiday 2022 collection are a visual reclamation of the rich Australian colour and geometry of the outback at the height of Australia's Summer.
A portion of the sales of these kits will be donated to the Aboriginal Literacy Fund.
The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation believes that positive and practical change to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous young people starts with literacy and numeracy. The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation's vision is for a future where all Indigenous children can pursue quality education, reach their full potential and contribute to their community and the country. Working in collaboration with local communities and partners, the Aboriginal Literacy Foundation develops literacy skills with Indigenous children so that they can succeed in school and beyond.
The Aboriginal Literacy Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit, charitable organisation that relies on the generous support of the community to achieve its work. We're proud to give them our support.
